About Me

Samantha Ferree, MA (Voice Studies, CSSD)

I have an MA in Voice Studies from Central School of Speech and Drama in London ​​and have had the great privilege of travelling the world coaching voice and presentation skills for over 18 years. My clients have been as diverse as the industries I've worked with, ranging from  IT professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, HR teams, teachers, engineers, charity workers to CEO's. Empowering clients to deliver messages, influence audiences and speak confidently has been extremely rewarding and I'm delighted to bring all that experience together with OKSoUm Coaching.

​As a coach, my priority is to help clients look and sound brilliant, capture the audience's attention and deliver with credibility so that their audiences want to listen. My values around authenticity, diversity, courage, adventure, and hard work drive me and my coaching and I use these to explore how to bring out the best in my clients.

​

After being inspired by James Nestors' fabulous  book "Breath", I've been working with clients on using breath not just for their speech and voice but also for managing wellbeing and health. I'm enjoying bringing my experience training presentation skills and voice to deeper growth that nurtures body and soul.

I also specialise in presentation skills, public speaking, accent softening and leadership communication. 

​

I began my professional career as an actor and enjoyed several years on the London Fringe and touring in small scale theatre.  After a 25 year break, I recently started acting again in local theatre, putting myself under pressure, finding my creativity and crucially telling stories and entertaining audiences again.  I'm also a voice artist and you may hear me on the HMRC, NHS and British Airways phone lines!

​This year my goal is to set up a podcast:  OKSoUm: What is great Communication to you?  Episodes will start dropping in September 2025.​
